I filed bankruptcy 14 years ago and recently got a letter from a collection agency demanding payment for 2 of my CitiBank credit cards. Why would CitiBank sell that information when they know it was included in Bankruptcy? Is what their doing legal?
Unfortunately, this is a legal question and I am not a lawyer. I wish I could be of more help but I would suggest that you seek the advice of a lawyer who may be familiar with your specific case. Did a lawyer help you with the bankruptcy filing 14 years ago? If not, I would seek a consultation with a local bankruptcy attorney to see what advice they can provide to you. Thanks.
